“Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? Or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothes thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. – Matthew 25: 34-40″
Santa Barbara Community Services is available on Wednesdays from 10 am – 12 Noon. We are located in the Community Services room behind the main church building. We provide dry and canned pantry items, bed, bath, and kitchen linens; gently used clothing and accessories for men, women, children, and infants, as well as shoes. We also receive donations of non-expired pantry canned and dry food items, gently used household linen, clothing, and shoes. In addition, we make quilts, blankets, and baby items from donated quilting cotton and donated yarn. All of our services and goods are free to the public.
Christ led by example and showed us that ministering to the needs of others isn’t just for them; it helps us to grow as well! What a testimony it is to hear how God is blessing the lives of His children. The Santa Barbara SDA church is committed to help. Praise God for letting us be of service!
